At the Vet

We had to take Natassja to the vet yesterday. She had reddening around her right eye. So that meant putting her in the car. The last time she was in that car, she had an operation and did not go home for a few days.. I think she associated that car with pain and separation or something because the moment I carried her into the backseat, her whole body started shaking violently. Do dogs suffer nervous breakdowns or something? She doesn’t have that reaction to the other car when my brother put her in it.

Anyway, it turned out it was bad we were feeding her stuff from our plates- human food. The vet said Tasje had allergic reactions to stuff in human food like preservatives and MSG etc. So now she has to be on a different diet from Igor. Which means they can no longer share one food bowl. Which means they have to be fed separately.

Which, I found out when we got home, that it also means I have to feed her like a baby- from my hand. Tasje expected right away to be ill when we got home; which was how she was the last time we brought her home from the vet. I set her down and she walked as if in pain. Lol. Then she realised there wasn’t any pain and started walking normally. Crazy dog.

Igor stayed home.
