Show: BSLBA-LCI Art Clothes Fashion Show

That’s Li-J and myself, rolling this huge roll of flattened tetrapak packaging. Yes, as in, like those fruit drinks. The teachers are using that to somehow make their art clothes out of, while we students will be using indigenous materials or sustainable/recyclable materials of our choice. I’m using receipts, barcodes and wire mesh.
These creations from the faculty and students of our school, La Salle College International, will be presented at a fashion show tomorrow night, June 24, 2008 at 6pm, as part of Barangay San Lorenzo Business Association’s 2nd Annual Business Week with the theme “Raising Environmental Awareness in Today’s Business.â€
The regular Barangay San Lorenzo Sunday Market will likewise hold a special night market at the Legazpi Carpark along Salcedo St. in Makati on June 21, from 4:00pm to 11:00pm.
Finally, various resource persons from the private sector will conduct a series of seminars and info forums on the environment at the San Lorenzo Village Clubhouse from June 23-26. Simultaneous with the forums will be free documentary screenings every 2:00pm of the following titles : An Inconvenient Truth and Energy Crossroads: A Burning Need to Change Course (June 23), 11th Hour (June 24) and NGC: 6 Degrees Could Change the World (June 25).
